Hang® Gudu
In the last months PANArt sold its new hand played percussion instrument, the Hang® Gudu, to a limited group of people in order to gain experience. From today the instrument is offered for sale publicly on PANArt’s website. This way the company carries on its brand Hang®, that is known for high-quality sound sculptures built by PANArt for many years. Therein lies the continuity to the original Hang® instrument that is no longer built since end of 2013.
However, the Hang® Gudu differs considerably from the Hang®. The air resonance in its cavity (155 Hz, Eb3) is merging with the sound of the tuned ring around the central opening and added with the percussive sounds of the instrument’s vessel. The melodic agility lies in the bass of the air resonance, that can be lowered with the hand in the opening up to one octave and is best described as a sort of speech song by the hands.

The Hang® Gudu blends well with other instruments in a variety of styles. This is demonstrated in the newest video by PANArt presenting the Hang® Gudu.

Hang® Gudu
Nachdem die PANArt ihr neuestes Handperkussionsinstrument, das Hang® Gudu, zunächst einem begrenzten Personenkreis angeboten hat, um Erfahrungen zu sammeln, wird es seit heute auf der Website der Firma zum Kauf angeboten. Mit dem Hang® Gudu führt die PANArt Hangbau AG ihre Marke Hang® weiter, die schon seit vielen Jahren für hochwertige Klangskulpturen aus dem Hause PANArt steht. Darin liegt die Kontinuität zum ursprünglichen Hang®-Instrument, das seit Ende 2013 nicht mehr gebaut wird.
Das Hang® Gudu unterscheidet sich vom Hang jedoch deutlich in Klang und Spielweise. Die Luftresonanz des Hohlraums (155 Hz, Eb3) verschmilzt beim Hang® Gudu mit dem Klang des gestimmten Rings um die zentrale Öffnung. Hinzu kommen die perkussiven Klänge des gesamten Instrumentenkörpers. Die melodische Beweglichkeit liegt im Bass der Luftresonanz, die mit der Hand in der Öffnung um bis zu einer Oktave abgesenkt werden kann, und am besten als eine Art Sprechgesang der Hände zu beschreiben ist.

PANArt relaunched its Website with new domain
Today PANArt relaunched its website in a new improved layout under the new domain panart.ch. The website is now better accessable with devices like tablets and smartphones.
But you need still good speakers or headphones to be able to hear the bass sound (Helmholtz resonance) of Gubal and Hang Gudu in the videos and audios. Built in speakers in smartphones, tablets, notebooks and the most earplugs fail completely.
By reason of the relaunch new Pang music with Gubal, Hang Gudu and the new Pang string instruments was uploaded to the site.
