Contrary to various rumors and misunderstandings PANArt continues to build the Integral Hang in 2009. Periods when people can visit the Hangbauhaus and pick their Hanghang are already planned for summer and autumn. The Hang makers are sending hand written letters inviting those who are able to purchase a Hang. The letters contain a statement where they outline their point of view regarding the Hang in the year 2009. The Hang: A sculpture, a listening device. Hang playing: Immersing oneself in a spherical world through intuitive play with the hands. Felix Rohner and Sabina Schärer characterize the central aspect of their work as “harmony, equilibrium - proportion”. With the agreement they engage in with their customers they want to establish a culture of trust and respect. Entgegen mancherlei Gerüchte und Missverständnisse baut PANArt auch im Jahr 2009 weiterhin das Integrale Hang. Für Sommer und Herbst sind bereits Besuchszeiträume geplant, zu denen diejenigen, die ein Hang erhalten können mit handschriftlichen Briefen eingeladen werden. Diesen Benachrichtigungen legen die HangbauerInnen einen Text bei, in dem sie ihre Sicht auf das Hang im Jahr 2009 zusammenfassen. Das Hang: Eine Skulptur, ein Horchgerät. Das Hangspiel: Ein Kreisgeschehen, ein sich Versenken, ein intuitives Spiel der Hände. Im Zentrum ihres Schaffens sehen Felix Rohner und Sabina Schärer die Ausgewogenheit, das Gleichgewicht, das Maß. Mit der Vereinbarung, die sie weiterhin mit ihren Kunden schließen, möchten sie eine Kultur des Vertrauens und Respekts etablieren. From Sept 18-21 2009 the Hang Camp U.S.A. will take place at the Apple Farm Arts and Music Center in Elmer, New Jersey. It is announced by its organizers Jon Kravitz and Jessica Styler as “the first opportunity for all Hang players across the United States to meet, learn and share ideas with each other”. A number of workshops from “Improvisation” and “Hang Techniques” to “Sound Healing with the Hang” and “Bodily Injury of Hang Musicians and how to prevent it” are planned. Additional ideas and contributions are welcome. While the camp is mainly offered to Hang players and their musical partners there will be two concerts open to the public on Saturday and Sunday night 8pm. If you search the internet, you can find a lot of information on the Hang. However there are many people asking the same questions again and again. Apparently a guide is missing that helps to find reliable and well-arranged information on the Hang easily.

The Hang Forum and the Hangblog got together and provide a new website, where anybody needs one click only to find the best information on the Hang that is convenient to his interests. Those who are totally new to the Hang as well as those who whant to know more and those who dig deeper. A guide with an URL that’s easy to keep in mind: www.hanghang.info. And by the way you’ve learned that Hanghang is plural of Hang.

Wer im Internet recheriert, kann eine ganze Menge Informationen über das Hang herausfinden. Trotzdem stellen Leute immer wieder dieselben Fragen. Offenbar fehlt ein Wegweiser, der einem hilft, zuverlässige und gut aufbereitete Informationen über das Hang schnell zu finden.

Das Hangforum und das Hangblog haben sich nun zusammengetan und bieten eine neue Internetseite an, auf der jeder mit einem Klick die besten für ihn passenden Informationsquellen über das Hang findet. Von den völlig Ahnungslosen über die, die mehr wissen möchten, bis hin zu denjenigen, die sich richtig reinknien wollen. Ein Wegweiser mit einer Internetadresse, die sich leicht merken lässt: www.hanghang.info. Und dabei hat man ganz nebenbei schon gelernt dass Hanghang der Plural von Hang ist.

In Hiddenhausen in der Nähe von Bielefeld findet in diesem Jahr vom 6. bis 10. August zum ersten Mal ein internationales Hang, Worldmusic und Jonglage Open Air Festival statt, das von den Veranstaltern, der Stadt Hiddenhausen und der Band Hangbudoo, HangSonic getauft wurde. Veranstaltungsort ist das Gut Bustedt. Eingeladen sind “Leute, die sich für das Hang begeistern. Darüberhinaus sind aber auch Anhänger des Didgeridoo- und Trommelspiels, der Weltmusik, sowie der Jounglage gern gesehen”, heißt es auf der Homepage des Festivals.

This year’s Hang Out UK will take place 18th - 20th September 2009 on Mellow Farm, Farnham, UK. The yearly event (since 2007) has become an international visited weekend for people passionate about the Hang join together to learn new techniques and play Hang. Friday night will be an open Mic, Saturday night performances by Andi Steil, In2Nation, Wa-Dohm, Spyros, Keona, Dizzi and Ann Malone are announced. Because the event is strictly limited to 80 people it is recommended to book early. More information at the Hang Out UK Website.

Am Dienstag 27. Januar findet ab 18.00 Uhr eine Veranstaltung mit Tivadar Nemesi (Hang) & Freunden in Speiches Rock & Blueskneipe in Berlin statt. (Raumerstr.39, Prenzlauer Berg). Es geht um die Klänge des Hang in verschiedenen Musikstilen. Die Veranstaltung wird in www.rockradio.de live gesendet.

In early 2008 PANArt created a booklet that offered insight into the various phases of the Hang’s development. It also introduced the Integral Hang, so a printed copy was given to all new buyers. For this information to become available to a wider audience, the Hang makers have now authorized the Hangblog to make the booklet available online as PDF. Anfang 2008 legte PANArt eine Broschüre auf, die Einblick in die verschiedenen Entwicklungsphasen des Hang gibt und das Integrale Hang vorstellt. Sie wird seither allen Käufern eines Integralen Hang zugesandt bzw. mitgegeben.
