In August 2016 PANArt introduced the Hang Bal. The instrument combines a modified Hang top shell with a Gubal bottom shell that has a Gu opening in the Gugel 
. It is worn with a shoulder strap which enables the player to move around freely with the instrument.
On PANArt’s website the new instrument is characterised this way:
Hang® Bal playing is a dance. The player himself or herself becomes an instrument. Hang® Bal playing allows space for the individual based on a collective groove. Together, a free round dance arises. Whoever has music inside will find a place here.
For the reproduction of the Hang Bal’s bass in the videos you need good speakers or headphones.
