Thank you for mentioning the CD I made for the Oreade label by the name of Earth Chakras. Unfortunately when you click on the cd the link goes to the wrong site. I would be happy if you could repair that to http://www.oreade.com. Also on myspace/earthchakra there is more info about the album and on http://www.soundclick.com/musicforhang there is a lot of freely downloadable Hang music.

According to a comment on YouTube the track Falling Away with You by Muse on the ABSOLUTION album supposedly uses Hang for the first verse.
Sadly Amazon doesn’t have a taste of the first verse, so I can’t confirm it.

The Oreade album by the title of Earth Chakras is bringing me around – I had the honour to perform solo Hang (and video record) while playing before and in between the presentation of Dan Millman. The clips are on youtube.
The other unforgettable event was to play solo Hang for over an hour while Dr.Deepak Chopra was sitting on the edge of the stage just taking time to listen, speak, greet and make a personal comment in books for the seemingly endless row of people who were part of the audience for his lecture in Amsterdam.
The performance before and in between that event are registered and released on CD available at Oreade.com.

Another “one-off” Hang track is “Old Fools Game” from Gongs “Acid Motherhood” cd. Don’t expect any other Hang niceities on this album though as it’s a bit noisy!

Hi guys, I’m a Hang owner since 2003 and I have been performing with it in european festivals, I have recorded it in my solo cd Auto-Retrato ( Self-Portrait ) and also performed in the last Rudolstadt Festival, when I participated in the special Magic Tamborine Men project, with Glen Velez, Itamar Doari, David Kuckhermann and others.
I’d like to include my experiences in this fascinating blog.

When you have time you might add Leonardo Trincabelli’s name to the list of those who have Hang CDs. The name of his is ‘HangMusig’ but I had to contact him to get a copy of it. I’ve not found it offered online anywhere. There are dozens of recordings of him busking/playing in Barcelona on YouTube.

I discovered hanghang at the Drum Camp, Suffolk last weekend. Truly magical and inspiring. What a joy it is to happen upon such a wonderful set of sounds from such a seemingly simple creation (though of course I know the creation is FAR from simple!). Thanks to those who brought them and demonstrated them. If only I could have one to play! In the meantime, my world has been enriched.

Hi!
We are Pierre and Sylvain Paslier, and our band is called Confiture de Hang. My brother Sylvain plays the Hang and I play the Guitar. We are from Lyon in France and we’ve been playing together now for about 3 years. We’ve started to post some videos of our work a couple of years ago on Youtube under the sylveusneu account and each one of our song is called after a fruit jam. We use to busk in Lyon but Youtube has been a good oportunity to have a return on our music and people encouraged us to record our music. This 8-tracks-CD is now available and mixes the guitar, the hang but also the bass and many drums.
A few songs will be available soon on the band’s myspace (myspace.com/confituredehang) and our contact is confituredehang@gmail.com.
I hope that our music will excit your curiosity and hope that it would be possible to be on the Hang CD’s list of your website.
