The Hang Camp U.S.A.
From Sept 18-21 2009 the Hang Camp U.S.A. will take place at the Apple Farm Arts and Music Center in Elmer, New Jersey. It is announced by its organizers Ron Kravitz and Jessica Styler as “the first opportunity for all Hang players across the United States to meet, learn and share ideas with each other”. A number of workshops from “Improvisation” and “Hang Techniques” to “Sound Healing with the Hang” and “Bodily Injury of Hang Musicians and how to prevent it” are planned. Additional ideas and contributions are welcome. While the camp is mainly offered to Hang players and their musical partners there will be two concerts open to the public on Saturday and Sunday night 8pm.
