I think you talk about the domes of the tone fields in the circle. Yes, they are oval or elyptical. The Ding is the central dome. The ding isn't oval. Also the Gu isn't oval on the first generation and second generation Hanghang. However the new Integral Hang has a slightly oval Gu.</description>
